It would actually work better without the 2nd image - you could boost the layer opacity up to about 80% instead of 67.
OMG, DON'T DO THAT!!! Now you have to show me how!!!
Well, since I have to!!! My apologies for the stammering and miscues - it's fairly simple, but I was more concerned with keeping the video small so it wouldn't take forever to upload.
Day 149 - shots of opportunity
On the way out the door this morning, I saw the sunlight shining through the shades on the wife's new curtains, so snapped a shot just because...

Then, tonight, while watering the flowerbed, I almost reached out and brushed away some old cobwebs with my hand... but I got this feeling, so I stopped to take a look. GLAD I DID! Found not one, but TWO of these fat ladies with nests/webs very near to where I was standing. I didn't take long to snap the pic, as they could disappear at any second. 1 pic, 2 dead spiders. Time to call an exterminator to spray the yard!!

Day 152 - Final post, and my fave shot of the day. Had to wait and get mom's permission to share online.
3 different edits, my fave of which changes from moment to moment. Yesterday, it was the middle one, today it's a toss-up between the B&W and the dreamier look...

Thoughts?
What if I keep a little bit of the dreamy aspect, but drop most of the color except for the pinwheels?

That is the BEST!!!! That is a wonderful way to handle that cute subject.
Day 154 - Hello, old friend...
I remember, in my younger years and well before this age of miraculous technology, how I used to get LOST in books and all the magical realms they carried me into. I can remember digging through Reader's Digest, volume after volume, at Granny's house during the hottest part of every summer day, but the day I was hooked for life was when my Grandpa drove me to a book store over two hours away. It was in that store I picked up my first copy of "The Hobbit". THAT was the moment the magic grabbed me, and it never let go... From Middle Earth and Xanth to the Restaurant at the End of the Universe... and everywhere in between.
This is a pitiful tribute attempt to orcs and dragons, hobbits and wizards - from the darkest of dungeons to the most frivolous of magical realms, and to all the authors talented enough to allow young minds to wander freely through the amazing world of imagination. I hope I've captured some of that magic.
Alright, @BackdoorHippie, here's what I've done with your excellent tutelage! (only hitch I had was in figuring out I need to click "Add Open Files" when stacking, as it wouldn't let me proceed or choose auto-align, LOL) What do ya think???

Your heading for a career in photography, not just the technical side of the pictures but your imagination
A rainbow?? If so, turn the crayons around and put them in an arc (is that the correct word?).
