I'm just getting back into photography after a 12 year break. So everything in my signature line is brand new in the last 6 weeks, except the AF 28-105D. We've had very bad smokey air for the last 4 weeks in the Seattle area from forest fires here in Washington State as well as smoke coming down from British Columbia's fires. So I haven't had a chance to get out with the new gear and take any photos. I started photography in 1974 with a Vivitar 35mm SLR. Today's gear is light years ahead of the film gear that I used for over 20 years. Along with the gear in my sig line, I've bought a couple of new tripods, camera cases, all the do dads that come with photography. Been having a blast with it all.
My wife had Parkinson's Disease for 28 years. But 15 years ago it got really bad really fast. So for 10 years I was her 24/7 caregiver. I took care of her and worked a full time job. Had an apartment attached to the office I worked in. She passed away 5 years ago so now my time is mine again. I also do amateur astronomy and target shooting, hence my name "gunfighter48". I'm glad to be getting back into photography. Now I just need a chance to get out and take some pictures!! The fire smoke has cleared out in the last few days so hopefully I'll get out during the week and take some shots!
Hope you get enjoyment from you back to photography,i sold up a lot of years ago to care for my late wife so i know what your saying.
