My 'new" Brownie Starflex - according to Camerapedia released in 1957 - I would have been three.
Sold for $10 - boy did that hold it's value and then some - paid more than $10 for it. (not a lot more but more)

I just got the Canon cp1200 selphy printer. It produces sharp 4x6 images.

I wasnt making sales on my barrel riding photos. Come to find out, these riders would prefer fast photos. So, I have a show this Saturday to find out.

Quite enjoying this book I picked up at a used book store in Calgary. George Barr's "Take Your Photography to the Next Level" - published in 2008.

Came with an inscription to "To Mark - best shooting". Either Mark never read it or Mark takes very good care of his books as this one was pristine.
I am enjoying the read.

I wonder if we could have a section for a Photography Book Review's or Recommendation or just "Books I like". Or am I the only old one who likes to sit in the easy chair and read the old fashioned way by turning pages? (The section would not preclude e-Books or even good websites and blogs, I read those too - sometimes in the easy chair on an e-reading tablet).

Got my veledge close-up macro multi coated filter

it is much easier to handle than the extension tubes

normal

macro function on my 12-50

with close up filters stuck together

Well, thought I'd take a punt, bought a Snanny SN600SN from Amazon for £65, thought I'd give it a try.... So far CLS works well as does TTL, appears to expose correctly and the quoted GN of 60 even looks accurate. Build quality is better than I would expect for the money. Only draw back I can see so far is that the external battery pack input is Canon fitting. Really pleased for the money!!!

Just what I've been looking for: a cold-shoe with a standard 1/4" x 20TPI screw. These will be used to attach flash units to a couple cheap tripod & ball-head combos I have laying around that aren't being used. I plan to attach a cheap QD plate to the bottom screw and epoxying all the threads so I can keep everything assembled as a single unit.

Finally! Flashes on tripods/ball-heads (because I pretty much detest typical light stands).
