DHL reports that the part I need to fix my D810 should arrive on Thursday. So the camera should be back together and (hopefully) working perfectly Thursday evening.
Looking forward to it!
Put it in the General Photography forum and if a Mod thinks it needs to be moved, they'll move it.I would, but I'm not sure where to put it. How about a sub-forum called "tech corner" or something like that?
Sweet. I have that lens. I love it. It helps to make the most remarkable photos.
My latest photography goal is to buckle down and really start learning how to use flash, both on and off-camera. To that end I've latched on to a Yongnuo YN-622C-TX E-TTL Wireless Flash Controller kit. So far I'm pretty impressed. Build quality is great, I was able to flash the BIOS (easy peasy) and got everything up and running on my D750 in a couple minutes; all without so much as having to glance at the manual (which I'll do later of course).
I'm in that stage where there's still something amazing about being able to put a flash in the corner of a room, then walk clear across that room to compose the shot and have the flash fire from thirty feet away, putting light EXACTLY where I need it... Dare I say doing that the first time "triggered" something? That "the bulb went on"? I guess I've always understood off-camera flash intellectually but to actually work with it, even for just a few minutes, totally drove it all home in a really BIG way. I wish I had done this so long ago...

Just bought this combo and hope to test this weekend. I also have the pocket wizards for manual, but for the price you just can't beat these for ETL. Really like what I see so far.
Said to someone the other day i never considered my V2 as a fully usable system, mainly because Nikon stopped short on the lenses, then the new DL camera doesn't go long enough, any way i treated it to a birding lens today, the Sigma 50-500,so it now has a FOV = 135- 1350mm

Is that a direct mount up.Or do you use the FT1 adapter?
