On the advice of my buddy Scott, I just bought a Raynox DCR-250 2.5x Super Macro Lens with Snap-On Mount! So hopefully soon this new piece of gear will make my macro shine better! Lol :)

Within the past 2 months I bought a Sigma 10-20mm Ultra-Wide and a Nikon 50mm prime (off Craigslist for $400, in excellent condition), a Tamron 150-600mm, and a Dolica LX650B502 D/S 65" Aluminum Alloy Traveler Tripod with a ball head and a pan head.

Now I really want to get a good macro lens! Any suggestions?

I highly recommend the Nikkor AF 105mm micro f2.8 D lens! It's a great lens for macro shots! :)

Look at the sigma and tamron 105s i cant say they are better than the Nikon but they give it a run for its money.

I, uh.... paid my state and property taxes (insert tears here) and had enough left in my savings to order my sons fencing gear tonight. My wife delivered a nicely worded request (interpreted: threat) for me to stay away from anything photography related for a bit.

Supposed to be what you bought "photography related". I think you better have a talk wit your wife and post here again! :peaceful:

I just found someone on the FM forum that pulled the trigger on a D4S without permission from the family accountant which resulted in him selling the D800E for a great price. Pulled the trigger as a minor upgrade to my D800. Should be in my hands by next week-end.
