hehehe...yeah, that occurred to me after I reread your post 3 or 4 times! ;) Then I looked at mine, and I figured out right away what you were doing. :)

Great ball head, though, huh? :) Did the pictures help any?

Yes, thank you! I've never had a ball head before , so I have nothing to compare it to as far as greatness goes, but it does feel pretty solid.

As much as you're tempted, don't over-tighten the ball. You'll get a feel as to how much torque is required. I ruined my first ballhead by over tightening. Good luck.

Guess one more entry here now - Yongnuo 568EX. Figure I might as well get HSS version since my 910 supports that as well. Hopefully this will be half of holy-mother-of-light kinda flash and I'll use it as a main for events to keep 910 as a backup. I'd rather wear down $120 than about 4x that.

Haven't purchased anything recently, but started a new plan. Rewards card: USE IT FOR EVERYTHING instead of using my checking account + pay it off with each paycheck to avoid the interest = Rewards balance building toward that 85mm prime! ;)

I'm gonna start earning lenses for free, just for doing what I normally do. My only regret is in not figuring this out sooner. Durn card has been sitting in my wallet, mostly inactive, for some time. LOL

Well not really a purchase, this was free.

In the UK, Nikon was doing a offer, buy a D7100 and get a free MB-D15 battery grip, so at the beginning of the year I filled out the online form, and provided proof of purchase,

I must say the communication with Nikon was spot on, kept me updated with the progress, and this arrived today.

Nice! Wish I had gotten a free one... although the D7100 still fits my hand quite nicely, I'm still very curious (which means full of WANT) about the grips.

my question is this, " Why does Europe get all of these type of deals and not the U.S. ? They have been given discounts on lenses, free grips and such, and it seems we are the Red Headed Step Children " Just a thought...
