I think you'll love it! I love mine, though I did alter mine a bit, to attach to the strap lug on the D300, and I dismantled my black rapid wrist strap adding another carabinier to my black rapid shoulder strap to support my Nikkor AF 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 ed lens! Lol :D

Congrats! :D
Thanks! I think that I am going to really enjoy it. I have already altered it a bit in that I attached two BosStraps in addition to the lug (and extended the lug strap a bit to reach the foot on my 70-200). The BosStraps attach to the strap cleats on the camera body.

I used the bos tails too, and did the same as you did, except I added the extra carabinier to the shoulder strap so I didn't have to fight with it to undo just the bos tail on the lens when I go to shoot! :)

Way to go! It looks like you should be ready to rock and roll! :D

I found out today that my Lowepro Toploader 55 AW Bag is just a bit too tight with my D7100 with grip. So, I bought a Lowepro Toploader Pro AW 70 SLR .

Sadly I've gotten so spoiled by the sharpness of my 300 mm that I was forced to sell my 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 and replace it with a 70-200 mm f/2.8. So looks like I'll be a holy trilogy owner after all....

Chris ... is that lens as big as the 70-200 Nikon? It looks to be in the picture, but not sure if its my mind wanting it to be big because of the tripod mount. :)

Added the 1.4 TC III to my 70-200mm order, let's see if it's everybit as fine a TC as the previous II version. Shipping date is tentatively set for Aug 28th. Interestingly, this TC is not nearly as compatible as the II version and is leaving out a good number of legacy lenses. Not sure why Nikon is reducing instead of increasing the compatibility of these items? Odd, eh?

I've never even tried a TC. But I'm very curious about them, and wonder if it would be a good thing for me to get someday?

Congrats buddy! :D
