Got it today - IR remote shutter button (I should have bought it long time ago) and a CPL filter for two of my lenses with filter Ø 72mm (Vivitar AIS 28-200mm and a Nikon AF 24-120mm D IF).

If I remember correctly, it's the apperatus that holds the sensor on to the probe arm aliens use after you've been abducted. If I remember correctly, it's still kind of fuzzy.

After reading up on the BR strap options I bought one of the Bosstrap extra Bos tail as well. I like the idea of keeping my quick release plate on as well.

I finally broke down and told the wife to buy me a mono pod with a ball head. She just laughed and flipped me the figure. I'm now the proud owner of a FT1502 and a ManFrotto 486RC2.....$25.00 used.

I use my monopod more often than a tripod and my Giottos ballhead really made it more versatile. And, yours is a great buy! Enjoy!

I hated tying up my tripod mount. Having to remove the strap to use the tripod made me realize how often I did use my tripod. The BosTail is a much better option. When I am out and about I like to leave the strap connected to me while the camera is on the tripod when I am in a place where I don't feel secure. Sort of a belts and suspenders thing.

My March to FX is now complete. (If you're playing along at home, you should be hearing the theme song from "The Bridge Over The River Kwai".) I sold my D300, Nikon 17-55 and Sigma 10-20. In the last month, I bought a used D800, ultra-cheap Nikon 28-105, Sigma 12-24 and Tamron 24-70. Now if I can stop traveling for work and have some time, I can actually play with the new toys! At least they look good on my desk! :grumpy:
