The wide end opens things up for landscape and some crazy perspective close up shots. Used a Tokina 11-16 on DX and now 14-24 on FX with lots of enjoyment (and a few nice keepers). You'll love it.I still had a gap to fill at the short end and since I'm not switching to FX;
