Sorry to hear that Sam! Frankly it's one of the reasons I prefer stuff sent to my po box! I'm afraid I'll miss the delivery, or someone will steal it off the stoop if I'm not here or don't hear the knock. :(

The postman brought some more stuff today.

I wish I'd had the 62mm filter yesterday, before I put my finger on the lens! :(

Ahh, Ebay, don't you love them?
Ebay had nothing to do with this ;)

Well my next purchase was meant to have made an appearance by today, but pesky eBay seller has let me down!!

Turns out my items were shipped last week, and the courier returned them to the seller because I wasn't home (they arrived 2 days earlier than I expected so I wasn't in).
Seller didn't tell me when he had shipped them or that they had been returned, only after chasing him day on day did I get a reply today to say oh yeah it was returned and we don't have any in stock anymore so do you want a refund!!!!
But they're selling the same items in 2 auctions right now so I said no, I want my items re-shipped.

Waiting on a reply but seems they only do 1 message per 24hrs so won't find out until tomorrow now!

</rant>
Sounds like they thought they might end up getting more for it a second time around? lol

Good luck with the transaction.

I'm out, my wit has left the building. I was trying to come up with something funny.

You know, now that I have a 70-200, like my glass like my ecigs... lol

Really though, forgot my smaller one in Vegas w/ friends and wanted to get something new for this battery I had for a long time. Thing creates quite the clouds, so new forecast at home for almost every day now.

Fixed price auction (though not sure you can call it an auction if it's fixed price, but that's another story).
Selling the same item in other listings too.

I've dug around, they are HK based but ship from Amazon UK storage hence why it was out for delivery next day not 2-3 days as quoted in the 'auction'.
Thing is I wanted this item this week to test with so having to resort to paying £4 premium to get it tomorrow now :(

Lesson learnt - if you think 1 week is enough time to get something and test it and its from a HK seller, double your thinking time.

Watch this space though.... new toys being posted here :p

I got my Carson camera sensor magnifier. I was kind of dubious on this purchase since it was under 20.00 shipped. But, wow! This is one well thought out, well made gadget. I'm quite impressed with it. Even came with a nice storage case.

Just bought this for my trip next week to Kansas City. Want to try and get some pictures of Union Station and wasn't sure if they'd let me bring in a big tripod, so figured I'd bring this so I can use it and get low on the floor as well.

GAS kicked in an other Konica Hexagon, the 100mm f2.8, mainly because I also expected the Fotodiox adapter with optical correction, which arrived:

And on its way now - Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Di-II Macro SP Lens, new version with AF motor for my D5100 currently on ebay for £219, probably a grey import but has a 1 year warranty.

Im definately regretting not buying a body model with built in AF motor, there are so many great less expensive lenses to choose from.

You should have fun with the macro... I have a sigma without motor and I still use it in manual on my 5100, auto or manual on my 7100.

Enjoy!

Thanks, thats the reason I got rid of the sigma 105 though, I had too many oof shots as i prefer to take handheld macros and im obviously not steady enough for a 105 length

Found a great deal on a 1 Nikkor 10mm/2.8. Sweet little lens. (The seller has one more - if anyone is interested PM me and I'll put you in touch.)
