Many years ago at a BMW rally there was a restored BMW side car rig complete with non-operating machine gun on side car. The driver and his passenger wore long black leather coats and German style helmets. Very impressive and intimating.

At the IMC here in Dallas a few years ago ... was probably 2007 or 2008, they had a Ural in the exhibit booth, complete with guns on the side car. Don't know if they were going for German or Russian influence, but either would help get that bike through rush hour with a lot less resistance. :)

... thought I had a pic on my smugmug site, but apparently not. I'll dig it up when I get back home and can get into my old aperture library.

The owner of the BMW did note that not many drivers cut him off (so much for the argument that the driver makes, "but officer, I didn't see him" after they have run over a motorcycle. However, today, I would very afraid the car driver would pull out his UZI and start shooting or the police would do the same with their pistols if I tried to drive such a rig on the street.

My quest to purge the office of DX lenses did lead to one good find on Craigslist this week:

I think she'll do nicely. :)

And ... first outing with her over the weekend, VR makes a nasty racket. Seems to still work, but doesn't sound healthy. May have to send her in to get looked at, which is a bummer.

I know I checked out the autofocus before buying, but the Starbucks may have been too noisy to hear the VR issues when I was testing.

Due to ill health I needed to downsize my gear as I am unable to carry DSLR and lenses so I have bought a P900

It has been a looooong time since I was here on the forum, everything uses up your time and then you realise it has been months! I hope you are all well!

I'll post my last purchase, although it was back in July! A Sigma 150-600 C... Although it did have to go back to Sigma after a month, because in warm weather the OS motor would make binding noise, so they replaced the motor - It turns out it can't have been working properly at all, as it is MUCH sharper on return!
