Was looking for some other place then Macro to post this, since although I use the 90mm macro the subject is too big for macro. Mantis in the south-east of France:

One of my neighbors asked if I knew what this was. His Oleander plants were covered in them. I was there after he sprayed.

I remember those, but this was quite alive and the guys it was trying to bite didn't like it at all. They hit it with a hat and flung it in my direction. I think it was dazed when I took this shot and it flew off shortly thereafter.
Moved on - any one know what this was? Also posted in my daily.
