When these red ones go to having a litter, they sure do. There were two adults and probably 45 wee ones up and down the stalks of that plant.

not the sharpest shot of the day - but the best I got of this flightly tiny bug - going to have to go bug hunting and try again - never seen one like this before.

if I'm not mistake (and I've been wrong before - just three years ago last Wednesday for instance I was wrong) But I think this is Mr and Mrs. Goldenrod Spider - they change from yellow/golden to white depending on the flora they are trying to blend in with.

Did you have your box ready and waiting?

I don't think my neighbors would approve. These are actually a swarm that has apparently left one of the unattended and over-stuffed boxes held by the Arboretum. I don't know if the staff have abandoned the project entirely or they are lacking someone with knowledge to run it properly. Don't get me started.
