Really!?? Oooooh I wish I had that Nikkor 200mm micro lens of yours! Lol Great shots my friend! I can't argue with the results your getting! :)

For these kind of shots a macro is of little use. Those dragonflies have pretty good vision and don't let me get close enough. I tried the 70-200mm but she's too short. The 300mm has a narrow FoV but does the best job for Bugs in Flight. The 150-600mm is too demanding and slow.

This guy should have been named Badass maximus. 3 cm long and nasty as hell. I"d just fished him out of the canal (okay, I was to blame for him falling in in the first place, but he was too magnificent to leave to the fish) and I managed to get close (2 inches) while he dried out. By the time I took this shot he was getting noticeably pissed off by my presence.

A flesh fly

Don't know this one but it was oscillating its rump the whole while I dared to get closer

And then it got clumsy. It said in a huff, "I know I can get back up here."

This wee bugger is about the size of a peppercorn. Went in for the first shot and snapped, looked again and it had done gone.
