I have just downloaded the latest Mac OS X 10.10 version of RT with wavelets.
This is the first time I have tried using wavelets. as it wasn't available on the earlier mac versions.

Got to say - its not obvious as to what it is actually doing, lots of sliders but nothing really happening that I can see apart from more grain.

Let us know when you have managed to get your head around it?

I'll let you know when (or if) I can make sense of it. Most changes will probably be visible at 100% only. Like tone-mapping; only when checking pixel-size you see what it is doing.

There is some documentation about wavelets:

Wavelet Levels - RawPedia

But, as is typical for RT, even the documentation requires study. ;)

Found a Goldenrod Spider in my Lilacs - apparently they are not uncommon in Alberta but I've never seen one before. From what I read I learned they can change colour to blend into the flower in which they are hidding - I guess this one does not have purple in its repertoire. Although there were white lilacs in the area so maybe he just crawled over from the white flowers. The eat bees of all things. Pretty harmless but leave a welt if they bite you.

Aparently it is Lygus Bug - which is bad news - feeds on Peony buds - going to have to try and control this pest.
