I shoot this way quite a bit. It was hard at first. I use a mono-pod to help out.
The speed will come with practice Pat, took me a while to get the hang of it.
I dont have a monopod, but will get one at some stage.
How do you go when shooting things at different heights, do you adjust the height between shots, or just lay it down at an angle to suit each shot ?
Thanks Clayton, that makes it a bit clearer for me thanks.The mono pod I'm using has play to the bottom extension so I Adjust it above the subject that I shoot and push it down to the shooting level. Other times I lay it at an angle and it helps me stabilize more.

I am out at work but brought my camera, unfortunately I don't have a laptop with me so here is a photo of the screen on my D800e lol
