Just a few splinters. The idiot didn't bother to stop, which was probably a good thing for him. My ranger friend there said they have had a few real accidents, but the riders are allowed to use the trails, though they are supposed watch for and give way to people on foot. You take your chances.
you should have put a tripod leg in his spokes as he went by

Glad you weren't physically injured. My friend was knocked cold and suffered enough of a head injury to still be struggling with memory and finding the right words 5 years later. A friend that was with her chased the rider down and he claimed he didn't even realize he'd hit her. WTH?

The bird photo you posted is fantastic though!

@wev you have been having bad luck with having to send your favorite stuff out for repair. Knock it off, will ya'! :)

I hope you get it back quickly and fully functioning.

Thanks, Woody. My wife says I have picked up some sort of bird brained bad mojo. She also says she's not a bit surprised.

This just in -- Square Deal says my body will be back from Nikon in a week and then on its way back to me at last. They say it will be 100% as new, but we shall see. They also are sending along a check for half my insurance fee as an apology for the long and aggravating process I have endured. At this point, from a cost basis, they would have been better off just sending me a new body to begin with.

Oh well, back in business soon.

Been busy with this girl (and her twin sister) so haven't gotten much of a chance to use my D500 yet but I'm loving it. Got this overhead shot using live view and touch focus/shooting with the screen tilted.

This one is from Yesterday as the Tall Ships were arriving in Erie PA. This is the Brig Niagara (replica of the original may have some timbers?). We out on the lake with the D500 and Tamron 70-200 zoom lens.

It was hazy and humid.

Here are 3 from today high ISO but did run Macphun Noise but I could have never done this with my previous camera with a similar zoom lens. This is in the belly of the Spanish Tall Ship that is in Erie; its huge compared to our Brig the Niagara.
