My wife was standing in a music pavilion in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain while I was below her on some stairs. I looked up and noticed the purple trees behind her and asked her to stand still for a couple seconds. I didn't have time to change from the 18-200 lens to my 17-55 so I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised with the results.

EXIF: D300, 18-200 VR @ 200mm, Aperture Priority, f/5.6, 1/320, ISO 200

I took the liberty of punching this up a little bit. We don't have these flowers out here, and I wish we did!

Great composition, the color just seemed to be a little washed out.

you did great, i can't do much with my ipad other than get them off my card and resize it small enough to upload it. Thank you feel free to doctor any of my efforts

I was instructing some new photographers on how to get off the "Green Square" (Automatic mode) - when I shot this to demonstrate depth of field.
