Okay, I got an email today saying I should get my lens on Thursday. I think I know what I'll be doing over the weekend! :)

Yeah, that's nice when you are shooting birds and other moving subjects. Set the shutter speed as fast as you want and go for it.

LOL. Well, it was too good to be true. Unique Photo said the 150-600 was in stock, took my Paypal payment, said they would ship and I would get it today. Then today it was "Oops, we didn't have it in stock and, yes, we did take your payment and say the lens was on it's way. We 're sorry." Then said they would be getting more "as soon as later this week" to try to keep me from asking for a refund, but I said cancel the order and give me a refund. I have added Unique Photo to my list of retailers I will not buy from in the future.

Have to say this lens is slower to focus than my sigma 120-400 5.6 was.that said the benefits it brings would still have made me go for it.
