Has anyone attempted daytime football/baseball/soccer with this lens.

I have the budget for this, the sigma, or the new 300 pf with teleconverter. I am just worryied about aubject isolation with this lense and if I should just save for another month and get the sigma 120-300 sport....

Can you rent one for a game?

Would hate to spend 200+ renting all 3 to compare when that would be 20% of the cost of the Tamron.

Was just trying to scour for some sample images to see whats possible.

I already use Tamrons 70-200 VC USD but am needing something longer for outfields and cross field shots.

I "feel" the new tamron wide angle and superzoom for 2200 would be a better bang for my buck than the 300 PF + extender. I would be filling a gap wider than my 35 1.4 Art and longer that the 70-200.

Just wanted some reassurance I guess.

I would give you a close up of one of my pelican friends. This is handheld and has not been cropped.

I just got one of these lenses this afternoon, I had a chance to give it a test run for about half an hour, so far I am loving it.

Kookaburra with lunch...
