More spider photos. This guy had its back to the siding. Nothing like seeing a spider's underbelly.

Buttercup... What else can I say? :)

There is always something interesting about dandelion seed puffs.

I haven't seen a lot of rabbits this year, just this same one almost every day.

I wish my rhododendron flowers lasted longer than they do. They are always so pretty.

Pretty in Pink

There is a bumblebee in this photo. Have fun.... :)

This moth was on the other side of the glass. I liked the different point of view. Most o the time, we don't photograph the underside of a moth or most any other insect.

Scrat is back. Actually, she never left. She just moved to the trees on the other side of my back lawn since the neighbors next door took down a bunch of trees and put their house where the trees were.

This ceramic frog is on a shelf in the house. I like all sorts of frogs and frog things. I have had this guy for at least 10 years.

Jenny always makes a good subject, even if it is just her nose. ;0

I have no idea what these little purple flowers are, but they show up in my back lawn every year at this time.

I know, everyone takes daisy photos, so here is my contribution to the plethora of daisy photos. :) What I like about this one is that the petals are definitely not evenly spaced, and NO BUGS!!!

This year's crop of Russian Comfry. I have some of this growing behind the house and in the front. Fortunately, it is definitely deer resistant. They do no find it palatable in the least :)

Sorry for the very poor photo but I took this through the bedroom window with the screen down. If I opened the screen, one of my more curious cats would have probably exited that way and the doe would have scampered across my neighbor's backyard. :) The brown blob with the tail, is a doe that hangs around my backyard. She has a very young fawn who is so adorable. Check out the next posting.

I took this series of deer photos the other morning when I was walking the dog before having to go to work. I wish they were sharper but they are not bad for handheld photos at 1/80 to 1/100 sec with my non-VR 55-200 Nikkor zoom. :) I also had the dog with me. She was totally uninterested because the deer were alive. She likes to bring back things like very well-aged deer legs.

The fawn is less than 2 weeks old at this point. It is soooooooo cute.

I now have two red squirrels going after the sunflower seeds in the bird feeder. I had squirrel turf wars go on for over a half hour. They even had a couple of squirrel wrestling bouts. There was also a lot of screeching and chipping/clicky sounds. By the time I was able to get outside without scaring them both off, only the new, younger interloper was there. He kept up his antics, which included flicking his tail very fast.

There?

This was taken without flash. No creepy squirrel eyeballs. This guy didn't know if he should run or go back and pig out some more.

Maybe I Should Get More Seeds

This is what happens when you use fill flash to try and get a better photo: evil, glowing rodent eyeballs.

I saw this little guy on a tree in the backyard when I had the dog out this morning. He saw the dog and me, and just froze. I did use fill flash because the light was not the greatest. At least its eyes are not as ghoulish as the squirrel's were yesterday. :)
