Pete are you going to install (Ground Fault Interrupter) GFI receptacles? If it was my project I would. Anything outside of the house I like to use them. Call me paranoid but I always like to take caution when it come to running electricity outside of the home whether is hard wired to the house or not. Just a thought, and my 2 cents worth.

Rick

Dude! I am just as paranoid as you are. :)

Good point, Rick. Good advice. I'd do the same. One can never be too careful when it comes to electricity.

I wasn't even thinking when I posted that. Those particular lights are gently rounded, usually paired and have a single knob holding the globe on. In short,

they tend to have a very recognized silhouette. I was not deliberately being a smart ass. It just worked out that way.

Don't believe him for a second! He could have said something clean like flush Mount ceiling lights :)

I finally got the time to clean up everything and get some finished insulation and vapor barrier shots. I have started hanging the sheetrock
and will be updating later this week.

Enjoy.

Today is the first day this week that has NOT hit 100 degrees. So I am getting the grass cut and taking it easy.

I be getting back to hanging rock tomorrow, bright and early.

"So I am getting the grass cut and taking it easy." Does this mean you hired the neighbor kid to cut the grass and you are sitting in the shade with a lemonade?

Nope. That means that I filled up the mower and went to work! I'm waaaay too cheap to pay somebody for something I can do myself! :)

First Coat of Paint.jpg

First coat of paint in the studio!

I did not realize that I have not taken any pictures of the sheetrock stage! How-ever, I am pretty sure that most everyone here understands that the paint usually goes on AFTER the sheetrock is hung.
2nd coat goes on today and then the textured ceiling goes on tomorrow.
