Nikonites T-Shirt Design Contest

Up until now we've had just plain t-shirts with the site logo on them. Why not have something that's fun to show off our community a little? How about a Nikonites T-shirt design contest!?

The rules:

• Designs will be accepted until Nov 3rd
• Designs must be posted in this thread
• You must be a member of Nikonites to participate
• One design per member
• Designs must be original
• Designs can be front and back or just front
• Designs must contain the word 'Nikonites' or 'Nikonite'
• By posting your design you are giving Sugarman Studios, LLC the right to redistribute your design and sell your design on a t-shirt or other media.
• 5 final designs will be chosen by the staff and then voted on by all members for the period of a week ending Nov 10th
• In the event of a tie for first place, a tie breaker vote will be made for the period of 3 days.
• Upon completion of contest the design must be provided in high resolution psd, jpg, or png
• Designs must fit within this area on the front or back of a shirt (or be able to be resized to do so):

UPDATE:
Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding designs we are reopening the contest for submissions until Nov 3rd, and the entries will be voted on until Nov 10th.

Entries that made it to the top 5 that meet the criteria will remain in the top 5. Additional entries submitted between now and Nov 3rd will be voted upon by staff and put up for voting as necessary for up to a total of 7 entries.



What you will win:

• A t-shirt with your design on it
• A new Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens (or gift card equivalent if one cannot be shipped to you)
• That warm and fuzzy feeling that you helped out the community

Neither actually. It should be a completely new design for a t-shirt that has the word Nikonites in it. Be as creative as you want

Here is my entry I like the aperature blade look becuase it reminds me of Iron Man's chest piece and then the 3d look of the letters make it pop to me. Thanks

Meet Nikonites 2.0!

I have simplified the logo and given it an updated/modern look by incorporating the letter "n" as a camera body in the logo. This would look good across all mediums, not just on a t-shirt: site logo, favicon, coffee mugs, etc.

I have included the same design on 4 shirts, Nikonites colors!:

Tried that, initially. In the end, I thought it was too busy and looked confusing when the logo was re-sized smaller.

The 'e' looks like an 'a'. Maybe a different font or larger letters.

Since mine was specifically an ad for this site, I'll work on something else. Then I will delete my other submission. I have something else in mind already--just don't have a graphics program so I'm limited.

My Idea -

Yellow and Black to keep with the Nikonites theme.
Incorporated the original Nikonites logo that we all know and have grown fond of.
Big and in your face aperture design to draw attention in a crowd.
