I'll buy the Sigma 10-20 from you Eduard.

It's easier ask for forgiveness, than ask for permission.Eduard said:. . . do I ask first or tell the wife that I ordered it. . .
Hold on their Skippy. . . this message from Nikon Europe might make me have to reconsider.
Now, I'm wondering how many D7000 owners will ditch their "old body" and buy a D7100.
To all please note: The existence of the 7100 does not make the 7000 any less of a camera today than it was yesterday
Interesting that they left enough room between the D7100 and D600 price points to stick in another model.
There might be, but it won't be 24 megapixels. If they come out with an improved D300-400, I think it would be 16 megapixels. this would give it more frames per second like the D4.
Time will tell.
Looking over the specs, the only things I miss is the OLED Viewfinder Info and lack of AA filter. However, with my recent (one week) purchase of a D7000, I feel I got a heck of a deal... $300 cheaper plus 16GB memory card and Lowepro case included. Take the cost difference and put it toward some glass.

I actually got my D7000 for 600 less with the lens kit. While it stings to see this come out only a few months after I got my d7000, it helps that it's a bit pricier and not THAT much beefier...
Sorry, I have to disagree, it leaves the old 7000 behind in quite a few ways. The AF is far superior, the resolution is better, the high ISO results will be better, the fps is better and possibly the construction is better. Everything that matters is better and by a fair margin. Don't get me wrong. The 7000 is a cracking camera and mine won't be going anywhere. But let's be fair, IMO the 7100 is quite a step up.![]()
