NOT CONFIDENT in those conditions. even on safari its just about ok, ill be switching back to my Nikon 200-400 for my next trip, I m not a big fan of 3rd party lenses with wide zoom ranges.

Interesting. I came across a number of safari sites & various posts showing the so-called weather sealed 80-400 completely full of dust (internally). Now I wonder if I should just ignore any weather resistance claims and just use a rain cover when things might get dusty.
