I went up to Olympic Park just outside of Park City, UT, last Sunday. They were holding the final day of competition for the U23 World Championships, specifically the ski jumping portion. I mostly stood directly in front of the jump, which was quite far from where they start at the top, but I could at least follow them all the way down unhindered. I think there were only about 30 spectators, which is sad, although I found out later that the big football game was that same day, so maybe everyone was too busy with that. I took about 3,000 frames too many, but it is what it is. The sun was right behind the jump, and the hill was mostly in shadow until the very bottom where it flattened out into the sun. VR was on the whole time & it is simply fantastic. Lens is far sharper than anything I was getting from my Tamron G1.
