Auto-focusing or did you manual focus for the corners? Nice captures!

Using BBF, I focus and recompose on where I want the car in the scene. Then, it's a matter of capturing the car in the frame. Rarely happens on the first shot.

I've been shooting at Gateway for 10+ years. It's a great facility, but a mediocre track and not at all scenic. Anywho, I have all the shots from last weekend's race and DE on my web site. I shot with my 750 and 7200 with 24-70, 70-200 and 200-500.

I've never been to Gateway, but have enjoyed watching both car and motorcycle events at the tracks around Texas. Also been on the other end, where I thought the track photog always made me look slow in the pictures (even though in reality, I was slow). :)

After a rather dull start to the day the weather perked up nicely around lunchtime.
