Any reason you didn't shoot that at under 1/100 with a higher f stop and iso 100? Not busting your chops and do the same thing myself because I have the bad habit and changing my BIF settings and not restoring them.

We were just going out the door when the Missus said, I wonder where that flower came from? I don't remember planting it. Can you take a picture please?
I had the camera in my hand with the 200-500mm attached (which is always set at BIF settings, just in case)
I was well aware of the settings, but from that far away f/5.6 is no problem, and with the D750, the higher ISO is not noticeable shooting in ample light. So why bother changing lenses or settings over one flower that I can come back later to shoot if the first shot is not satisfactory.

Plus, who shoots the 200-500 at 1/100 or slower?

Not too much showing on my local patch of late and when I actually found some dragonflys it was a bit breezy killing the sharpness a little but I managed a few decent pics,,,,,,,,,DSC_1152.jpgDSC_1157.jpgDSC_1225.jpgDSC_1240.jpgDSC_1237.jpgDSC_1037.jpg

I figured that was it. I'm always moving my settings and forgetting to put them back. Your way is the best long term for sure.
