I know there hasn't been a lot of diversity in my thread for the last weeks, but saturday my wife and I leave for our honeymoon (obviously bringing Dagmar along ;)), so that should help to bring some Norwegian fjords and fjells into this thread :)

Yes, @Marilynne, indeed!
We took a chance with the cabin and knew nothing about the area that it lies in. But wow, the views here are extraordinary :)

Day 273
Went to sail on the Lysefjord today. This photo was taken from the bottom of the fjord, from Lysebotn, and was originally supposed to be HDR. Photoshop kept crashing when I tried to get it to align the photos, however. But I think this works as well :)

Day 274
Another day of hiking. Today we went to see a waterfall called Månafossen

Also today is my one year anniversary with my d3100 or with any DSLR. for that matter. When I look at some of the first photos I took, I can see that I have evolved a lot over this first year, but I can also look at what I shoot now and see that I have lots and lots of stuff to learn yet. Anyway, it has been a good year to shoot with this camera, and I look forward to learn with it :)

Yes, it's a very grand country, and very different from what we're used to, home in Denmark, which is very flat and has no mountains at all.
More pictures are on the way :)

Day 275
Today I climbed Preikestolen - The Pultpit Rock, which towers over Lysefjorden, the fjord we went sailing on the other day. The rock is named after its shape, which indeed looks like a pulpit, except it has a 650 meter vertical drop down to the fjord. I myself is not happy with heights so I kept away from the edge, but it is a popular tourist attraction, and a lot of the other visitors were not afraid to approach the chasm

You look younger in your self portrait than your avatar.

i am with you on heights. The person sitting on the edge give me goosebumps. i like your self portrait shot, i see why norwegians live mainly along the coast.
