Day 235
Today we had our official wedding party, Dagmars' naming party, and Sifka's 'Big sister party'. At the morning table, Sifka and Dagmar god matching sister necklaces.

Day 237
So, I've gone back to windows (for this purpose only!) and am now trying the trial version of Lightroom and Photoshop. I have to say that I am very impressed. So far, which is not very far at all, when compared to any of the other programmes I've used, Lightroom is just miles ahead. I look forward to trying it out and learning a lot over the next 30 days (probably after that as well :) )

Day 245
Dagmar has acquired a new favoured noise to make. Farts! Luckily they mostly come from her mouth, but she really seems to enjoy lying on her back, yelling into the air and making insane fart sounds with her tongue out of her mouth - all accompanied by insane grimaces. It's hilarious :D

Day 147
This is very very weird for me to post. I'm posting this with a one day delay, so this was taken yesterday.

This is Dagmar with her great grandfather. His wife sadly died earlier this year, but fortunately just managed to meet Dagmar and her cousin who is only two days younger than Dagmar.
Today however my mother called me and told me that my he had been found dead in his bed this morning :(
Very, very sad news, and also very surprising as he seemed very happy (as happy as a newly widowed man can be) and in better health than he had seemed to be in for a long time.
It hasn't quite settled in yet, and I'm still pretty alienated from the idea that he is no longer. Weird and sad... :(

Sorry to read about your Grandfather. The photograph is excellent & I am sure it will be treasured by your family for many years.

Re: nidding's first year of shooting

Thanks for thoughts, everyone :)
We, the family, have come to the conclusion that this was actually the very best way for him to go. He had had a great day with some of his grand children and great grand children, and seemed to be in a very good spirit regarding his future. He went to sleep, never suspecting anything, and just never woke up again. Sure he could have had some good years left in him, but on the other hand, he never suffered or had to look death in the eyes. None would have been a good thing for him.
It's still sad, but I think it's a comforting thought :)

Day 248
Nothing much to show, for rather obvious reasons...
