Day 182
We use a wrap for our little girl. Our big girl, however, has never been in one, so today my wife offered her to yo see what it is like to be put in a wrap and put on your mothers' back.

So, how did she like it?

She thought it was quite fun and a bit awkward, being tied up to her mother like that. But two off her teddy bears got carried around for a few hours afterwards in a wrap we made for her, so I think she enjoyed it :)

Indeed. I'm very surprised how good this stuff tastes. Really rich flavour of fruit and flowers. Sweet and savoury and at the same time HOT! And very, very easy to make :)

You should PM me with the recipe! I'm a huge fan of HOT, and love trying new sauces and recipes on a regular basis!

Ditto everything Pretzel said... I would also love to try that recipe... I've been dabbling with the Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) and the Trinidad Scorpion pepper sauces.

Day 185
For the last week, I have been working with a role play for school children. We enacted a part of the Danish-Preussian war of 1864, and the kids were soldiers whose comrades fell in the ultimate battle at a small town, called Lundby. The battle is now, more or less, remembered as a pure massacre, where the Preussians were able to mow down the Danes with their superior fire power, and as a result of very poor judgement from an ageing Danish commander, who ordered his men to charge down a hill with their bayonets, resulting in a pure slaughter of the Danes.
This is my colleague for the week, who here plays 'Lieutenant Winther'

I'm afraid my sauce isn't as exotic as all that. It is pretty simple and very inspired by the recipe on this page Pepper Joe's Organic Homemade Hot Sauce Recipes

PEPPER JOE'S ISLAND HOT SAUCE(A 10 ON THE PEPPER JOE HEAT SCALE)
- 12 habanero peppers
- 2 carrots
- 1 lg. onion
- 6 cloves of garlic
-1/2 tbs. salt
-1/4 tbs. white pepper
- 1 lime
- 8 tbs. white vinegar
Cut habanero peppers in half and remove seeds. Drop in boiling water for 30 seconds to blanche.(handle with care) Remove peppers and put onion, carrots and garlic cloves into boiling water and cook until tender. Squeeze juice from lime and combine all ingredients and put in blender. First chop, then blend at high speed. done! Just put in wide-mouth jar and store in fridge. Spoon out this hot sauce as needed. Delicious on cheesesteaks, hamburgers, pizza, or added to soups, chili, tomato sauce. Also can scrub garage floors.

I didn't add white pepper, but gave it a good pour of Jack Daniels' for a twist.

I have found way more sophisticated recipes out there, but as it really is the chilies you want to taste, I think a simple recipe is probably the better choice :)
