It certainly looks to be from this angle :) If I could have gotten a full facade from another side, that would have shown the weird mix and match of buildings it's placed into, which kind of justifies its placement. To one side it has the harbour and some heavy industry. To another a residents area from the start of last century, then a big mall and train station and then to the last side it has the old part of town centre from which it looks a lot out of place.
I guess ultimately I just feel ambivalent with these kind of buildings; on one side they can look impressive and monumental, but on the other hand they will also always be an eye soar from certain perspectives.
I must however say that I kinda like the contrast in this part of town, where turn of the century industry meets modern architecture. It sort of ties the history together. Maybe I should try to take some photos of the transitional effect they have created down there... :)

...and sorry, you got me onto a small rant there ;)

Day 176
Tried working a bit deeper with pp today and I think I like the result :)

Nice. Is this an art installation or an actual pair of glasses? At first I thought regular glasses, but the longer I looked the more I migrated towards the very large glasses as art thing due to the sharp edges and supports.

This is indeed a sculpture, called "Sea Pink" by Marc Mosers. It's placed on the port of Aarhus, right in the middle of a new fashionable residential area of the Port. I would guess them to be 5 meters wide :)
I'm happy that you were fooled at first, though, as that was what I was going for :)
