Still at the event, not pleased with results so far, shutter release is really slow and even in continuous shooting mode, I can't seem to get more than 1 shot per second... Can't figure out what's happening!!!!!

There are 2 continuous modes L and H High is for more fps. Maybe you're accidentally on Low?

Wow, this is 100000 times better! Can actually get some good shoots without delayed exposure! Is delayed exposure a factory setting?

No, you messed up when you were flicking around the menus :)

If you press the two buttons with a green dot next to them, it restores factory settings.
Not sure how many settings if any are unaffected by a reset but worth remembering if you are out on a shoot and things are not working as expected.

Hope you are having fun, looking forward to seeing some of the pics you're getting.

Hi Samsonite, did you shoot in Raw or just Jpeg?

Your pictures are really quite dark. it doesn't look like the sunny day that we know it was for the shoot.
There's vignetting problems on most of the photos, unless you did it in post processing for an effect?
If so, it's not an effect suited to the photos in my opinion.
The shutter speed has frozen the cars and background, even the wheels are static, giving no feeling of speed.

I really didn't want to post this but it's meant as constructive to improve your photos.
You should be able to improve the photos especially if you have the Raw files.

Of course others may disagree, just giving my opinion.

Dont worry mate I take it as constructive criticism :) They were shot in JPEG. I added the vignetting in lightroom, thought it added to the pictures. I also lowered the exposure and increased the clarity in Lightroom to give a more ''HDR'' look. I tried slower shutter speeds, but the pictures werent sharp. Since this event took place on a narrow public road, I wasnt able to pan and get shots from the side, as you can do in a race track where you are behind large run off areas...

Yes you are right, it's difficult to get a feeling of movement when the car is approaching instead of side on.
Could you post a couple of your favourite shots without the post processing?

Pictures are subjective, what works for one viewer might not work for another,
All that matters is if you are happy with the photos.
