Pedaled to breakfast yesterday, then over to Wako. Chris stopped to chat with some one and I kept walking. Halfway around the park, he called to tell me two gators were having a disagreement over something. I knew the action would be over by the time I got there and I was correct.

Anyway, one of the gators was still hanging around. Enter the Great Blue Heron. Gator appears to not be interested and heads in the opposite direction.

Heron flew off and gator went searching for his meal elsewhere.

Nice series of shots and for me the last one is probably a once in a lifetime shot. Great job!!!

Also yesterday at Wako.

Female Anhinga gets nice size fish.

Showing off

She swims to the nearest tree island and starts tenderizing the fish. There were to many branches so I couldn't get a shot of that and her climbing the tree to her mate.

Excellent timing. With all the time and effort you put into your photography treks, an opportunity like this was more than likely.

It just goes to show that great shots are there..... you just have to work for them.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks, most afternoons at Wakodahatchee are boring, especially when it's in the 80's. Sorry to all of you up north and out west - cold, ice and snow - yuck!!

Went to the flea market today. Don't know why it's called a flea market, didn't see any fleas (thank goodness)!! These were taken with my Coolpix S3100.

Guess who I met today - Lt Col Allen West. My neighbor and I went to the VA cemetery to lay wreaths on the fallen soldiers graves. Chris was upset that he didn't come with us.
