Thanks TJ. All of his other pictures had his eye wide open. Rare to see them during the day, but it is happening a bit more often these days. I guess the leaves are starting to drop off the pond apples. It is almost winter in south FL.

Thanks, but I think grandpaw has me beat!

I do not know about beat... I just know that I cannot hold a candle to either of you... You BOTH find them and then capture them... I only have a couple and they are not as nice of a bird, not as nice of a photo etc...

You know what though, you both are an inspiration and it just makes me what to try harder!!

From yesterday's bike ride. Had the Coolpix S3100 with me.

Woodstork - could have cropped more, but I liked the tri-color heron on the waters edge

Marilynne, all I can say is that I'm glad it is not a contest because you post some really great shots!!!! I just wish that we lived closer together where I might be able to go with you now and then to do some shooting. Over in Louisiana they have many more types of birds and offers much more opportunities like Florida does but they are both farther away than I can get to easily. Keep posting your great shots because the inspire me to go out and shoot also.

I am humbled to be praised by you Jeff.

We're lucky to have two man made wetlands, the Everglades and Atlantic ocean all within a 15 mile radius. You're the one that inspired me with your wildlife photos.

I'm starting to get some better in-flight shots. I will hopefully get even better after I take the Birds In Flight photography class next month.

Yesterday after Wako, we pedaled over to another reclaimed water area for part of our bike ride.

BTW, no bike ride this morning, it was 40 at 7am. Way to chilly for me!
