Those gators are just disturbing. Neat, but disturbing just the same. :)

There are no barriers between them and the public. The first and second is the same gator. He was in a canal on the edge of a farm stand. I was maybe 4 feet from the third - he was right at the boat ramp. The fourth was way across the canal. The last two are the same gator and he was right behind the canoe rentals. Got up kinda close to him also. He kept opening his eyes and closing them.

That would be a little to close for comfort for me.

One of the church's we pass on our bike ride to downtown Delray has a community farm. I only took pictures of what I could see from the outside. Didn't want to trepass.

I have two paperback books on birds and two foldouts and cannot find this bird in any of them.

Can any one help me identify the bird in my post #569? Apparently it does not belong in FL. I've stumped a couple of FL naturalists. They think it might be a juvenile Clark's Nutcracker, but can't verify it. It's about the size of a pigeon.
