I played around for a while, but could not find anything myself.

Here's a link to play with:

Birds of North America - Whatbird.com

What ever it is it's off color or an in breed of something.

Thanks for the link Rick. I've been searching for 2 days now. Usually the Cornell Lab of Ornithology website or my National Audubon Society Field Guide to Florida works. Like I mentioned before, I've even got some naturalists stumped.

Now this bird is a Blue Jay.

It was raining all day yesterday, so I hung out under the car port when I saw him fly in the tree.

usually when you find a strange bird u end up with birders flocking in to score for their bird book.

Morning started out at 42 degrees. Don't know how you guys up north handle all the extra clothes. Went for our bike ride with no destination in mind. Temp about 60.

Passed our favorite wetland - Wako. Decided to make a pit stop. The roadway in was lined with cars on both sides, parked every which way. Went up on the boardwalk and this was the view.

I knew it would be bad, but I had to see if my mystery bird was in the same spot, which was just to the left of this man. It wasn't, but I knew that already.

Every Sunday more and more people show up. We try not to go on weekends for that reason. We use the rest rooms on bike treks.

Still no word on the mystery bird. Didn't think it would be that difficult to id.

Could the mystery bird be migrating to somewhere else and just decided to stop for a short rest before continuing on his/her final destination?

That's what the naturalist thinks, but it's strange no one can id the mystery bird.
