Spotted a couple of other nests with youngins on the same tree island. Don't know how I missed these. They're much older.

Thanks Roy. Yes, TriColor herons are a lot smaller than the Great Blue Heron. TriColors can get up to a little over two feet and the blue can get up to a little over four feet.

love the first shot, it is so hard to capture a bird, animal or anything with some "life" to it.

Thanks Ron. I asked him nicely to turn his head for the second shot. The man behind me laughed when I asked and didn't believe it when it did. For some reason, face front on herons, to me, doesn't that great a shot.
