You're probably right Don. The word is out. For some reason, grackles and red winged blackbirds come looking for me.

The water at Green Cay was really clear yesterday. I had just focused on this turtle when the Coot decided the turtle was in his space and messed up my shot.

I love when you can see their feet under water.

i have never been that close to a heron, they all look gray to me. Must be the variety.

The one in post #3151 was just down from the boardwalk. It's colors are slate blue, white under the wings and white neck with brown markings. There was a tour going on and I was going in the wrong direction, but I managed to squeeze in.

Photo shoot with a Red Winged Blackbird - he stayed with me a long time. He even let people walk by us without spooking.

I think you post these just to tease us Mailynne. But ours will be nesting by mid-April and i am determined to get a photo. They nest right along the interstate spur in scrub land. left over from the building of the highway. The area is fenced and fairly protected for them. I shall be stalking them this spring.

I thought of you while I was shooting him Ron. I remember it's your favorite.

Did you see my collage of him? It's posted under collages 101, but I'll post it here also.
