Day 118, April 27th

Didn't have much time to take pictures today but this afternoon, while eating an apple at Line's place, we heard a loud crack and boom. Looked outside and this huge tree had fallen just about 10 feet from my jeep... Took a few snaps for souvenir:

That tree deal falling over is crazy! Must have been weakened from snow and ice maybe?

Yep, that's what it looked like to me. This tree divided itself in 3 trunks right at the base. I suspect that rain got in then froze solid while expanding between the trunks and it got weak. It wasn't even windy. And I usually do park my jeep right on the other side where the tree fell.

Just a quick little portrait backlit with the Rokinon 85 @ 1.4 with the D700. Seems for my grand daughter the camera is NOT the most important thing to look at. At that age, cartoons rule.
