Daily shots with the D7100 and 35-70 2,8 in macro mode @ 35mm.
It's the Nikkor that is the ancestor of the 24-70. It's a push-pull zoom that is constant 2,8 and when you come to the end of the 35mm, you can push a button and then you can get really close, really close. It's an AF-D lens but when it gets to the close-up feature, it becomes manual focus only. And it's really sharp too, EXCEPT when used in a backlit situation where it will flare quite a bit at 2,8 but gets a lot better around 5,6. At 5,6, I think it is sharper than my 24-70.So what type and brand of lens is a 35mm-70mm f/2.8 zoom with macro? Haven't heard of one previously.I've only heard of telephoto zooms with macro capabilities.

Yes and no. It was hand held but my hands were resting on the rail up the balcony (sorry I don't know how you call this part of the church where the organist used to play from). And the 16-35 has VRDid you handhold the camera for the first photo? It's really sharp for 1/4" even though it is at 16mm. I like it a lot, Marcel!
