The snow finally decided it had persecuted us enough and is melting. Dead leaves in the backyard are still in a state of shock from all this cold.

Went to Quebec City yesterday to see an exhibit of Bryan Adams photography and Lida Moser pictures from the 50s.

NO Camera allowed.jpg

Even with this sign, since the Df is so silent I was able to grab a few before I got warned.

Seing large prints made from medium format was quite impressive and enlightening. But it made me realize that my house is way too small and I wouldn't have enough walls to show my photo collection. So maybe I'll just buy a large sreen Tv that would be dedicated to a power point of my shots...

It seems that something changed in your photography skill. It is for me a unique amazing improvement which makes you for me a great photographer and not a snapper.

Thanks Michael. Maybe it has to do with how I feel and how much time I have to enjoy photography since I'm working a bit less these days. Or the Fuji X-10 inspirations. But I have to admit that I'm spending some time in a Facebook abstract forum and it does inspire me quite a bit.

Awesome photos...especially this first one! Did you use some type of 200mm prime?
Well no, I was using my 28-200 $125.00 Tamron... But the light was there and I did a bit of sharpening to help the poor lens.

I asked because the EXIF just lists it as a 200mm lens. I don't see in 3D, but every once in a while I see a photo that looks 3D to me. This is one of them! ;)

I re-checked my exif and it was taken with the Tamron 28-200. What made me take it was the leaf was almost transparent and the sun was just shaving it. This is what gave it it's look.

My visit to Québec City wouldn't have been complete without a picture of the famous Château Frontenac.

Interesting reflection that I flipped upside down to get a nice painting effet from the waves. All taken with Df and Tamron 28-200.
