Glad you like them Jonas. I was sitting here and noticed how the chair looked almost as if it was suspended with the edge of the pool just ending in a big drop off. I thought is there anyway I can capture that and this is what I came up with.

Considering I had no idea what to shoot today I am very pleased with them. Hard to say which I like best.
Have to say you captured that very well :)

My sensor cleaning kit arrived today and I successfully cleaned the sensor. Very please with me I am.
However that took longer than I thought and in the end I was rushed for the daily pick.
I did not think anyone would appreciate the test shots (before and after) of the sensor so instead I took a flash photograph of an illuminated lamp.
I know that makes no sense ...

I saw them …
I thought about it ...
I drove past them …
I thought about it again …
Decided "stuff it, I have nothing to lose …
Turned around and figured they had probably gone.
Drove back.
They were there …
Now what?
"Oh well all or nothing"
So I asked her …
She said she wasn't photogenic.
You guys tell me.

Approaching people in the street is not too easy but I enjoyed this young lass (and her dog of course ;))

Fabulous job. Wonderful images that really seems to bring out her inner personality. There's something about a great image that makes a perfect stranger feel like somebody you already know. Glad you went back.

the smiling young lady is wonderful, you need to work on your communication skills with the dog. :)

Why is it more fun to find a dollar than to earn a dollar? Because it is fun to fill lucky and you were very lucky to find this beautiful model and we are very lucky that you have learned enough about photography to do her justice. Excellent work. Now go out and find a dozen more.

Her skin tones are fantastic Lawrence!!! Did you use a custom white balance or a grey card reading to achieve those results?

Thanks nzswift (fellow countryman?)

Far too technical for me. WB was set to auto. The light was just so good/soft and she has lovely definition with a great shaped nose, gorgeous eyes, high cheekbones, very nicely shaped mouth and they all combined to maximise the light.

Man, you are far braver than me. I shy away from taking people photos badly and could NEVER ask. I even shy away if they offer :(

You took great pics of her and not photogenic? I hope you convince her of otherwise :D

I was not too confident about her saying yes so instead of thrusting the camera in her face I left it in the car and approached her with empty hands. I thought that might look less threatening and I guess it worked.
And then before I took a shot of her I showed her a print of the lass I had taken a few posts back (17/8/14 I think it was) and said she also felt she wasn't photogenic.

I guess there will be times when people say no and you just move on.
