So this is somewhere in between the two

Half way LOL.jpg

If nothing else this exercise has shown me that I have learned a little bit about processing - or a heck of a lot more than i did on January 1st.

Day 137

A mixed bag - trying all sorts of stuff.

New Zealand is full of these old character homes and what I find amusing is they all have satellite TV dishes.
This one appears to have air conditioning too.

Day 134

The shots were there - I just didn't capture them too well.

Arhh. I like this first one :)

Day 135

My flatmate and I have been eyeing these mushrooms in the garden with a view to shooting them. I guess we waited too long as the snails got in first.
Oh well the compensation is that my Yongnuo RF - 603N remote trigger and flash sync arrived today so I can start using off camera flash and add another little dimension to my artillery.

Haha bad snails.

And doh! Thats what I am missing, I think, the flash sync? Does it work for studio lamps as well? Could I maybe have a link?
I have the same trigger-reciever but I just plug it on the speedlight directly, and it works?

Sorry I want to put the next two as a separate post as they are the same photo processed differently.
The difference is obvious but I can't decide which I prefer.
I processed the first one and then thought it would be nice to show the detail in the shadow.
However I am not so certain.

Your thoughts?

#1 says "there is a house in the woods"

#2 says "there is a little bit of paradise in the woods"

Thaaaanks, I will.

Agree with Eyelight, maybe even a little vignetting (less on left side than right side) to really lead our eyes at the fine house.

Day 138

Lovely day here today. Started with fog and very cold and then cleared for the afternoon and a round of golf.
I went out early and tried a few fog shots.

Brrr… LOL.jpg

I really enjoyed the next shot as I was setting up to shoot the autumn foliage when I saw the cyclist out of the corner of my eye. Wrong shutter speed and out of focus but I squeezed regardless.

No. 4' the posts and their reflection in the water and No. 6' the leaves. A couple of the other fog shots are a very close second.
