I am going to use a few pics I have in the bank, I haven't had a chance to ID them yet. If I get the chance in the next 2 weeks to find names, I will fill them in.

#52- Greyback Cane Beetle

These beetles are the cause of one of our worst environmental disasters ( + the stupidity of some people concerned )

Cane Toads Invade, Conquer Australia

CaneToads were introduced into Australia from Puerto Rico in the 1930's, it was thought they would eat the Cane Beetles which caused damage to the Sugar Cane crops. The Toads didn't eat the Beetles, but have bred profusely, and have invaded the top half of Australia. Their toxins kill the native animals that come into contact with them. They kill anything from birds to crocodiles.

#53- Tawny Frogmouth

I can't resist adding this one, I don't normally see these birds in the daylight hours, so I never thought I would get a decent shot of one.
I was doing some work on my driveway this afternoon after some heavy rain and I disturbed a family of these birds in a clump of ferns beside the driveway. A couple of them didn't go too far, so I went back to the house and got the camera and tripod.

I was hoping for a better shot of the Rainbow Bee-eaters so that I could post them here, this is my only sighting here in 13 years.
I didnt want to post this photo just in case I got a better shot, but it didnt happen. So here it is.
Male on the left with the longer tail.
