#27- Platypus.

I had hoped to have a better photo to post here, but after several sightings over the last few months in the creek that runs past my house, this is the best I have got.
They are always in the very shaded sections of the creek, so the lighting is poor, and they are very timid, so you don't get many chances.

#33- Collared Sparrowhawk.

I found this young fellow down near my creek on Saturday morning, he had an injured wing.
I haven't seen him around the area since then, so I hope he recovered OK.

#37- Short-Beaked Echidna.

These animals are not a common sight where I live, I might see one a year, so it was a surprise when I came across this one down by my creek yesterday. It quickly curled itself up into its defence mode, clinging tightly to some exposed palm roots.
I tried to prise it off with a stick, but it wouldn't budge, I didn't try too hard as I didn't want to hurt it.

The Echidna and the Platypus are the only two egg laying mammals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short-beaked_echidna

The last photo shows the claws on its back leg.

#39- Azure Kingfisher

These were taken with a Better Beamer and the Yongnou YN568EX at about 25-30 metres away, they have been cropped to approximately 50%.

#40- White Breasted Sea Eagle

I was lucky that I spotted some birds of prey up on the hill behind my house, the neighbour had killed one of their cattle and dumped the carcass in their quarry on the other side of the hill.
