Obvious not my dog ;-) Had a 2 hour trip with this lovely dog, an italien greyhound. Got loads of pictures, but these first 2 are my favorites, I think. Was so great to be able to focus 100% on the camera, the dog were such a sweetheart and she even liked me although she did think some of our ideas were a little off, lol. Got some where she sends me "the eye".

This one I'm not sure about. Maybe its too drastic post processing, compared to the other 2. But guess thats what happens when you/I change lenses a lot. Used both wide angle, 50mm and 70-200mm. They got very different looks.

Awesome photo. My mother has a Saluki and a greyhound who perform leaps from the earth like this, never thought it would make such an amasing photo!

Awww I would love to get pictures of Saluki and the bigger greyhounds. Such amazing dogs.

I love this one. Perfect placement. The notch in the tree line helps frame the dog. The clouds seem to radiate out from the dog. It almost looks like you suspended the dog from a crane with wires and then photoshoped out the wires later.

Great shot.

Did take several pictures before I got one were she were free of the background, and yes, great clouds!

Also from today, Im having doubts weather I used Active D-Lighting. Been trying it out a bit, but thought I set it for off, hmm. Dont you think it looks wierd that the dog is so bright at the side we see, when the sun is behind him?
Didnt do anything with contrast or brightness.

You are going to have to go outside a shoot the same shot at every ADL settings and remember which order you shot them in. That is what I did and actually like the results when used in the correct setting. I generally set mine in Auto ADL and let it see the amount of contrast.

Your mileage may vary.

I did do that. And thats why I'm pretty sure I turned it off again but maybe I forgot and did it later. I was walking around and took pictures of dark stuff, with spot meter. Hmm, just think it looks ... not really possible.

Btw, its iso 200, f/22, 1/100.

What do you mean with mileage?

If you are so positive then ;-)

What do you mean with mileage?

What you always see on new car sticker right after the show you what gas mileage it should get. In other words, how this will work for you might be different than the way it works for me.

I've been taking pictures most days, but havent edited them yet. I should though, cause actually Im behind with several.

This one was taken a while ago. I was practicing following the birds with my zoom lens. Its pretty hard!

Spotted a black dog in water last week, and asked if I could take a few shots, just for practice. Afternoon, bright sunlight, 50mm on and hmm, its not the fastest lens in the world. So I'm a little annoyed at my results. Maybe thats why I dont really feel like getting them finished :p "Unfortunately" I know the owner, and she's asking about them, lol.

I did pictures for a concert yesterday, I made a thread here: http://nikonites.com/learning-photography/13735-concert-pictures-yesterday.html#axzz2TyFiL0u7

I was working at the concert (doing VJ) but because the band used so much smoke on stage, our projecters couldnt shine through it, lol. So I took pictures instead, and so happy I did, I like the expression on them.

But well, I also did a very horrible picture, long story short I wasn't ready, I had no lights, I did not know how to do it. And the guy texted me 3 times during night/morning, yay send the pic. I had the serious photo-sweat today. Backdoor Hippie did a massive job trying to help me out, but the picture will never ever be great.. Oh well. I swallowed my pride and send it, along with the ones from the concert.

Not sure what I learned. Get a flash?

Out testing some techniques yesterday, and also location-spotting (although I've been at this place before). Im doing pictures of a black labrador today, think that dog would fit real good in this picture so Im hoping and crossing all my fingers, that there will be clouds again today. But so far it looks pretty dull :/

Portraits of my dogs, oldest first, youngest last. Just sitting, relaxing and looking out over the sea (what you see in my last post) before we went home. Magic time
