Any program that might move my pics to some other place makes me nervous. Sticking w Lightroom. Lots of truth to the adage, "Don't mess with happiness."

Helene: Lightroom and Aperture both move photos. It depends on how you configure it.

I have just played with the sample photos and I must say I am impressed. Very Lightroom like sliders. Haven't tried importing any photos yet, maybe later.

Bill: I think the RAW processing is darn near NX2. I did some checking and they licensed the RAW engines from Nikon and Canon.

I have too much time invested in Lightroom to change especially to a Windows only product but there are things I like very much with PhotoDirector.

LOL I know that, Eduard. I should have been more clear . . . "unpredictable movement". I guess it's a workflow thing. I know what to expect with LR and that keeps me calm.

But thanks for sharing the link. :D

My theme for the day!

Makes me laugh!

I am always looking for an inexpensive alternative to some of the more expensive software although I have never though lightroom was over priced. Maybe after the beta and the price settles down this may be a good alternative to suggest to a lot of folks. Like I said I have only played with the samples but from what I saw very nice indeed. Think I may load it up on a different machine and play with the importing and see for myself about the raw capabilities and what it does for a library. Thanks for the link.
