Re: Fuji X10. Yes I know it's not a Nikon

I was just going to a meeting tonight and thought the moonshine was giving my house a nice winter look. So I took out the little X-10 out of my jacket pocket and grabbed this shot hand held. A bit of photoshop to correct the color cast of my house lights and to remove a bit of noise gave me this:

Nice pic, Marcel. I think the X-10, or X-20, is an excellent choice as a backup to a Nikon SLR.

Time does fly. I really enjoy the close-up ease of using this little camera. Using LiveView, there is no mirror slap so I can use slow shutter speed and lower ISO and get the shot done. This was just a spur of the moment shot done last night just before dinner.

Taken this afternoon, the last leaves refuse to leave for winter. :) Snow is coming so down go the leaves.

7.90mm is wide open on the x10. It has a fixed zoom lens of 28-110mm (35 mm equivalent). 28mm works out to 7.9mm when you take into consideration the crop factor of the x10 sensor.

Ahhh, I thought you had an X-T10! That is where my confusion originated.

Did you see the instate rebated Fuji announced today? Fujifilm Camera Savings

Just to bring this thread to life. My X-10 usually stays in the car just in case. Well, this morning as I was traveling to get to a piano, I saw the sun shining through the clouds and just hit part of the mountain.

X-10 to the rescue.
