Re: Fuji X10. Yes I know it's not a Nikon

Thanks Derek,

I actually read your Nikonites thread. My budget was limited. X20 was out due to cost. + the $300 difference in price just didn't add up. I'm very happy with my $312 X10 purchase. For me it's basically a high tech P&S.

Good call.

Here are a few more from the X10. First one is of Place Ville Marie, in the heart of downtown Montreal. Second one is of our parliament building in Ottawa.

I own the Fujifilm X-S1, which has the same sensor, and really enjoy using it. Low light is not its strong suite; best to keep the ISO at 400 or lower. Other than that the images are lovely and some are truly exceptional. Here's a shot at ISO 100:

Re: Fuji X10. Yes I know it's not a Nikon

Did you use the built in pano function? or did you stitch some photos together? i find the built in pano feature a bit finicky. It took me a number of tries to get my first pano with the built in feature, lol. Nicely done

I used the built in feature. The only times where it doesn't work is when you have people passing in front of the camera while doing the pano. But PS content aware tool can get rid of them.

Anytime I'm on holidays and find these I have to get my pic taken. :)

Shooting at 10fps with the X10, i got a nice action sequence from a soccer game (family friend had their sons in the game):

I shot a total of 8 shots from the boy heading the ball, to when it lands on the ground and is kicked by another player.
